December Phelps Column — Journey to Strike Gold

Posted by on December 12, 2012

It’s Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I am on a flight from Boston to San Francisco headed to Greenbuild, the largest green building conference and expo in the world. I participate annually, and it’s always held at different venues around the country. I really love it. Being in the business, it’s validating to see so many technological innovations, policy changes, and grassroots movements in support of sustainability. This year, in particular, I am excited to attend as I have several meetings lined up to present my company’s new corporate sustainability education solutions.

The six hour, thirteen minute flights afforded me the luxury of some free time (i.e. trapped on a 747 with no cell or internet access). Some of which, I decide, I will dedicate to writing my column and catching you up on my riding life. So after a smooth take off and being told it’s safe to use electronics, I power up my Net Book and open MS Word.

I begin to tap away at the keys…
